Acme Business founder, Richard Baxter founded the company that only sold and serviced typewriters for nearly two decades. The business’ second owners, Ken Hillman and Ralph Fox, introduced a line of mail machines and MFPs to the company in 1985, opening new doors for the business.
When ready to retire in 2017, Mr. Fox reached out to James Finch, Jr., a Senior Level IT Professional. Finch became the President and Owner of Acme Business January 2018 and has been passionately leading the company ever since.
Finch met Fox through a mutual friend and previous work projects, shortly a joint opportunity surfaced and Finch soon became the successor of Acme Business. Finch’s expertise spans 26+ years of success in devising customized IT and cybersecurity solutions to meet evolving business requirements within diverse industries. Along with his expertise, he has an advanced proficiency in developing and executing business process redesign with six sigma, overall business remodeling, and developing training programs.
Most importantly, throughout his career Finch has gained expertise in aligning business requirements with technical resources through cutting-edge IT integration while maintaining the integrity of the client’s business systems.

The values already instilled through the company of Acme spoke to Finch and his family, as they already use their Organic Black Angus Ranch, Eco-Valley Farm, located in Allegany as another way to connect and serve the people of Olean.
Finch saw acquiring Acme as a great opportunity to become part of the growing initiatives to rebuild the Olean Area and encourage businesses to plant their roots and flourish in the Enchanted Mountains.
