A History of Excellence 

Acme Business, which originally went under the name Royal Typewriter, was founded in 1962. Royal Typewriter eventually evolved and became Acme Business, as it’s now known, in 1985 under new ownership. During this time, they introduced various mail machines allowing them to progress closer to what we now know Acme as today. In 2018, James E. Finch Jr., a Senior Level Cybersecurity Engineer and CIO, became President and Owner of Acme Business. His expertise guides, grows and protects every business and organization that works with Acme.


Looking to the Future 

Finch first wanted to use his acquisition of Acme as an opportunity to continue to grow and rebuild the Greater Olean Community. He wants to be part of the reason the community prospers again, and for businesses to begin planting their roots in the Enchanted Mountains.  He wants businesses to feel fully connected with all their hardware, software and other 21st-century digital tools, and that they are safe and protected from any unwanted third-party services. Acme Business worked with the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce to organize a Cyber Summit in October of 2019. More than 50 people attended the event where they learned about current issues in cybersecurity relevant to their own businesses.
